Tablet PC’s are all the rage nowadays. You might think that the Apple iPad started this trent, but not so. Some companies to produce of the predecessors to the iPad include (although some never made it beyond trials):

The Tablet PC has almost attained market acceptance several times since the 1980′s, however many problems, including battery life and cost, have thwarted widespread adoption at every turn.
